• Is it possible to download a FPGA configuration file over the network?

Yes. To select a .mcs file on a remote computer, type \\remote_computer_name\disk_drive\directory_path\filename.mcs

The ComBlock Control Center graphical user interface can communicate with ComBlocks either through a serial connection or via a LAN. Is it possible to switch between those two methods?

Switching between serial link and LAN may lead to undetermined configuration results.... unless power to the ComBlock assembly is switched off in between.

When the COM-5001 LAN/IP interface module is used within a ComBlock assembly, this module is the primary point of access for connection to the ComBlock control center. Connecting the serial link to any other modules will yield unreliable results.
