COM-3004 20 - 90 MHz receiver -> Multi-path simulator COM-1024 -> Dual D/A converter COM-2001 The baseline configuration in the 3004_1024_2001.stn settings file is as follows: 70 MHz center frequency 200 MHz DDS processing clock. Internal 40 MHz frequency reference. -64 dBm input level threshold for full scale 10-bit A/D conversion. External PLL-STROBE frequency hopping signal disabled. Multi-path: one path with no frequency offset, no delay, no attenuation (Initially enabled) Purpose: test the RF receiver module in presence of an input sinewave. Check the multipath simulator. Convert the multi-path signal back to analog. (a) Turn the power supply on. Import the 3004_1024_2001.stn setting file into the assembly (from the ComBlock Control Center File | Import menu). (b) connect an RF frequency generator to the RF-IN input. Set the frequency to 71 MHz, level -64 dBm. Note 1: as the COM-1024 is not designed to control AGC, any input signal level above -64 dBm may cause saturation. (c) using an oscilloscope, probe the COM-2001 I and Q outputs. The capacitors C3 and C24 are convenient test points. The signals should be 1 MHz sinewaves, 90 degrees out of phase with respect to one another, and with amplitude of 1Vpp.
