Overview

The COM-1804SOFT is a digital telemetry modem fully compliant with the CCSDS standard. The generic VHDL source code is portable to most FPGAs.

• Programmable symbol rate up to 0.4*ADC or DAC sampling rate
• Continuous mode operation (i.e. Burst mode is not supported)

• interleaving, randomization, sync marker insertion/detection, frame synchronization, dual basis

• Implementation losses < 0.5 dB at Eb/No = 1 dB
• Center frequency acquisition range: +/- 12% of symbol rate, wide tracking
• Symbol rate acquisition and tracking: +/- 50 ppm
• Ancillary components
• Asynchronous Serial Interface (ASI) for TM receiver output
• PRBS11 test sequence generation
• BER tester
• Monitoring & Control via UART, 115.2 Kbaud, 8-N-1
